Cal and Jo Schmidt found joy, friendship, and creativity through their years at the Wayne Art Center. It became a special part of their lives—and later, a place they shared with their grandchildren. To honor their legacy and love of the arts, this fund was established to help others in the community experience the same inspiration. The Calvin W. & Josephine M. Schmidt Memorial Garden, located behind the Center, celebrates their enduring connection to art, family, and nature.
